Barça Turn Their Attention to Kane – Another Striker Who Doesn’T Want to Leave
Barcelona are still searching for a new number nine, and their shortlist is beginning to resemble a collection of the least available strikers on the transfer market. After Julián Álvarez and Eli Junior Kroupi, Harry Kane is now being watched. The Englishman wants to stay at Bayern, which apparently makes him the perfect Barça target.
According to “Bild”, as relayed by “SPORT” and Barça Universal, Bayern will begin talks over Kane’s new contract in August. The club are offering a deal until 2029, while the striker wants to remain in Munich until 2030. Bayern are also prepared to maintain his current salary of around €25 million per season.
Kane’s representatives have reportedly received approaches from Barcelona and Al-Hilal in recent weeks, but all outside interest has been rejected. The 33-year-old is giving Bayern priority and is not pushing for an exit. Barça will therefore remain in the background and wait to see whether the negotiations somehow collapse.
Álvarez is not for sale, Bournemouth are rejecting offers for Kroupi, and Kane wants a new contract in Munich. Barcelona continue to search for a striker in places where they must first change the player’s mind, the club’s position and probably reality itself.
