Barça Has Accepted Ferran’S Departure. Only the Price Remains
Barcelona still “count on” Ferran Torres, but the exit door is already wide open. According to Marca journalist Mari Carmen Torres, the club will not stand in his way if the Spaniard decides to leave and brings in an offer matching his value. An important part of the project — unless someone pays around €55 million.
Hansi Flick reportedly even sees Ferran as one of the candidates to play through the middle following Robert Lewandowski’s departure. The problem is that his contract expires in June 2027. Barça can either keep the forward for another season or sell him now, before their negotiating position once again becomes a distant memory.
Barcelona also know they cannot match the salary PSG could offer and have no intention of entering a bidding war for their own player. The club are now waiting for Ferran’s decision and an official approach from Paris. In short, Barça have already come to terms with the breakup before Ferran has even said whether he wants to leave.
