Ferran close to PSG move as Flick excuses him from training
Ferran Torres is now very close to leaving Barcelona. Cadena SER reports that Hansi Flick has given the forward permission to skip Wednesday’s training session so he can finalise his move to PSG without risking an injury.
This is a clear development from the previous situation. Ferran had been expected back with the squad after PSG’s opening bid failed to produce an agreement. Now, according to SER, the deal should be completed in the coming hours for around €55 million. It is not official yet, but the negotiations are described as being at the final stage.
Barça rejected €40m and appear to have pushed the price considerably higher. They also seem to have taken the Bardghji injury as a fairly immediate warning: when a transfer is almost done, perhaps there is no need to give bad luck another opportunity.
