Barcelona target mystery defender as Moretto offers clues
Matteo Moretto says Barcelona are targeting a little-known, left-footed defender outside Spain. The player’s identity remains undisclosed.
Left-footed, playing outside Spain and not particularly well known. Matteo Moretto has described the defender Barcelona are reportedly working to sign. Supporters have been left to supply the name.
According to Barça Universal’s account of his DAZN appearance, the target plays outside Spanish football. Moretto suggested that only particularly dedicated football followers would recognise him.
He did not identify the player. The quoted remarks also provide no transfer fee or confirmation of an agreement. This concerns a potential addition at centre-back, not a completed signing. Barça News Network likewise reports plans to recruit a defender without naming the target.
There will be time to celebrate Deco’s scouting genius. Finding out who he is supposedly signing would be a useful first step.
