Barça Create a Gap in Defence — Then Go Looking for a Defender
According to Aline Nastari of TNT Sports Brasil, Barcelona have revived their interest in Natan and contacted Real Betis to explore a possible transfer. This remains a media report. Neither club has confirmed talks, and no reliable subsequent update has changed the status of the story.
The 25-year-old Brazilian was already linked with Barça in June. At the time, ge.globo reported a possible fee of around €30 million plus another €5 million in add-ons. There is no confirmation, however, that Betis are still demanding those exact terms. Natan’s name has resurfaced as Barcelona prepare Ronald Araújo’s loan move to Liverpool.
Barça are apparently creating a vacancy and then checking the price of filling it. Natan may make perfect sporting sense, but the order feels familiar: make the move first, notice the consequences later and label the whole thing a plan. Even Barcelona’s defensive strategy begins on the counterattack.
