Flick wants the transfer business done fast. Barcelona is racing against the clock… Again
Hansi Flick reportedly wants Barcelona to wrap up their key transfer business as quickly as possible instead of dragging negotiations until the final days of the window. Spanish reports claim the German coach wants to know exactly which players he will have available before the season gets underway. Fair enough. Even he has probably realised that Barcelona’s transfer plans tend to change faster than the club’s financial situation.
Flick is said to favour quick decisions and a settled squad. Unfortunately for him, Barcelona has built a reputation for announcing ambitious plans first, performing financial acrobatics second, and only then figuring out whether new signings can actually be registered. It’s a script fans have seen more than once.
Recent reports also suggest Flick is willing to let some players leave if it helps finance new arrivals. One of the names mentioned is Marc Casadó, whose asking price has reportedly climbed to around €40 million. Once again, Barcelona’s favourite transfer strategy seems to be selling players in order to buy others… preferably before the sales actually happen.
One thing is clear: Flick wants his squad ready as soon as possible. The only question is whether Barcelona will complete their transfers first or discover yet another financial lever to pull.
