Raphinha Returns. Barça Unveil Another “new Signing”
Raphinha has returned to training with Barcelona. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian has recovered from his hamstring injury and completed part of the session with the squad at St George’s Park. He then continued working alone, because at Barcelona even half a training session can be presented as the beginning of a new chapter.
The injury also affected Raphinha at the World Cup, where he managed to play in only two matches. Flick now wants to “bring back the best version” of the winger. It almost sounds like the announcement of a new signing. One minor detail: Raphinha has been at the club since 2022 and never officially left.
Barça have already signed Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, meaning they first increased the competition in attack and will now attempt to protect the position of a player who was recently expected to be one of the team’s leaders. A familiar Barcelona sporting plan: create the problem first, then proudly announce that work on the solution has begun.
If he can stay fit, Raphinha can still provide goals, pressing and relentless energy for Flick. For now, however, the club are celebrating his first partial training session. After last season, the bar for positive news has been placed at a very comfortable height.
