Romano: Real Madrid agree €2m deal for Oscar Naasei

Oscar Naasei is set to join Real Madrid from Granada for €2 million, according to Fabrizio Romano. The defender has reportedly completed his medical and will initially join Castilla. Handing him the keys to Mourinho’s defence can wait a little longer.

Romano reports that the 21-year-old Ghanaian is signing a long-term contract. Bernabéu Digital also carries his account of the agreement and completed medical. An official club announcement is still awaited.

Naasei is a centre-back who can also play at right-back. He stands 1.85 metres tall. According to AS, Madrid had already pursued him last season before stepping up negotiations this summer.

He joined Granada in 2023 and progressed through their youth and reserve teams before establishing himself in the senior side. Granada Hoy details his development at the club.

He therefore brings more than a promising youth reputation. Soccerway records 37 Segunda División appearances and one goal during the 2025/26 season.

His next assignment is expected to be with Madrid’s reserves. The €2 million fee comes from Romano’s reporting, rather than officially published transfer terms.
